Dental billing is essential to the health of every practice, yet much of the industry still relies on outdated, convoluted software. Codenta saw an opportunity to replace that complexity with an intelligent, intuitive platform built around the people doing the work.

The problem

Limited visibility, complicated coding, and demanding workloads make billing errors difficult to catch. When those errors slip through, dental practices lose revenue they have already earned.

The industry standard is needlessly outdated, and users are left to manually scan and compare every procedure code to the clinical notes. They often only find out about errors when insurance rejects a patients claim.

Starting from zero

We were brought in at the beginning to take Codenta to from initial discovery through product design and implementation. Our role included defining the user experience, developing the interface, creating a scalable design system, communicating the work to the engineering team, and supporting implementation as the product evolved.

Starting from zero gave us the opportunity to think deeply about the problem so we could create the right solution, one that could grow with the needs of the industry and the appetite of the founding team.
